Superangels Expands Partnership with AQUATY to Simplify Early-Stage Tech Investments

Superangels, a pioneering investment company, is strengthening its collaboration with private markets specialist AQUATY. After previously investing in AQUATY, superangels is now using the platform to make it easier for its network to invest in promising tech startups. This partnership simplifies the investment process and provides carefully selected opportunities, giving investors better access to high-quality early-stage technology companies.

Founded in May 2023, superangels has established itself as a unique force in the European investment landscape. By selecting and partnering with 20 of the most outstanding business angels, superangels enables these selected partners to double their initial investment ticket sizes, optimizing both risk management and potential returns. The VC firm focuses on backing very early-stage technology startups, including those still in the pre-seed phase or before they generate revenue.

Now, superangels is taking this approach a step further by using AQUATY’s investment platform to make it easier for their limited partners (LPs) and other befriended investors to invest in follow-on rounds of their top-performing portfolio companies. With AQUATY, superangels can quickly create and share new investment opportunities, allowing their network to invest seamlessly in exclusive follow-on rounds of the superangels portfolio.

“Before AQUATY, setting up side deals and handling all the reporting and regulations was expensive and honestly, a bit of a headache,” says Franzi Majer, Founding Partner at superangels. “Now it’s all digital, which makes the whole process way smoother. It also helps us easily connect our portfolio companies with investors looking for great opportunities in the tech space.”AQUATY’s digital platform simplifies the entire investment process, making it easier for investors to participate in follow-on funding rounds, manage investments, and handle secondary transactions – all within a single system. Additionally, the platform automates all necessary legal and regulatory documentation, significantly reducing costs while ensuring compliance.

Commenting on the partnership, Alexander Grimm, Managing Director of AQUATY, said: “Many of the revolutionary technologies we enjoy today were made possible by courageous business angels who believed in startups and provided them with crucial funding. However, these startups often require more capital than angel investors or networks alone can offer. Together with superangels, we are making it easier to fund and grow innovative tech startups, making it more accessible and efficient for everyone involved.”
